Four years ago we started a community basketball tournament in Washington Heights, NYC (a.k.a. ‘The Heights’) to honor a very special individual.

Since then, The Carlos M. Perez Memorial B-Ball Tournament has raised close to $30,000 for local scholarships and blossomed into a non-profit organization called “Achieving New Heights.”  The next The Carlos M. Perez Memorial B-Ball Tournament will take place on Saturday July 17th, 2010 at Cabrini Park in Washington Heights (at 190th St).

Achieving New Heights’ (soon-to-be “Achieving Heights”) mission is to use sports as a vehicle to educate, empower, and inspire city-youth in the Upper Manhattan area of NYC.  We produce sports and fashion-related events that benefit local schools, students, and families.
